Application:

Butt weld long radius 90° Reducing Elbow LR is a kind of butt weld fittings.

There are two types of butt weld elbow, Butt weld 90 long radius elbow(90 LR elbow) and Butt weld 90 short radius elbow(90 SR elbow).The difference between them is the center to end distance.LR elbow center to end is 1.5 times of norminal pipe size,SR elbow center to end is equal to the norminal pipe size. Buttweld elbows below 24 inches are produced by cutting, heating and bending seam or seamless steel pipes; pipe elbows of larger sizes are made from welded pipes or steel plates.

Butt welding fittings are components used to connect pipes by welding.There are virous types of butt welding pipe fittings:elbow,tee,cross,reducer and cap etc.,

The key specifications for buttweld fittings are the ASME B16.9 (carbon and alloy fittings) and the MSS SP 43 (that integrates ASME B16.9 for stainless steel, duplex, and nickel alloy BW fittings).

Butt welding fittings can be used at high pressure piping connections.They are strong and have a long service life.Besides they are rather cheap to buy and deploy.

The 90-degree reducing elbow is also called the 90-degree reducing elbow, which is used to connect two steel pipes of different sizes for steering. The usual production process is to cut a 90-degree elbow blank with a standard pipe diameter, and then deform it in the mold with a hydraulic press, so that the two ends of the elbow have different sizes.
